These are classes combining aspects of yoga and dance. YO-DA includes but is not limited to: Yoga & Dance Fusion Classes.,Yoga Classes specifically tailored for Dancers, Dance Classes specifically tailored for Yogi's and classes which are classes split 50/50 between yoga and dance; get all your yoga and dance needs in one place/class!
Allow your practice to grow no matter where your roots came from. These classes also include all of our work out based and conditioning style classes that can assist both a dancer or yogi. These classes focus more so on toning the body, building strength, and maintaining flexibility.
The purpose of YO-DA is to break you out of your shell, and release you of what holds you back or makes you feel self-conscious. These classes are designed to help you get in touch with your feelings, emotions, and your body itself. Gain confidence in yourself and your abilities. Through combining dance and yoga the hope is to gain a deep understanding of yourself and body through mindfulness and intention of yoga with the freedom of dance. Come to a place of recognizing and appreciating how you move naturally. Realize how to direct & focus your energy while moving. Practice how to properly breath through your movements. Learn how to let go of the presentation of your practice and reconnect to your raw self while you move. Rid yourself of expectations of the body, mind, self & abilities ... simply enjoy the moment and how movement is making you feel or simply embrace how in this moment you are allowed a safe place to express your true feelings through dance.

Heather has experience in the practice of Pranavinyasa. Which was created by Shiva Rea who also practice yogic trance dance. Heather likes to explore the connection between yoga and dance. She believes that Twisted Roots YO-DA although a new style of class for her, suites her desires to find the benefits of balancing yoga and dance with a class or practice.

Kinetic Connection both follows and enforces state mandated regulations and protocol to keep you safe. Please, follow the following rules as a way to show your support to both the studio and your fellow yogi's / dancers Your practice, personal growth, and enjoyment of class times are important to us, we will do everything in our power to assist you during these times so you are able to continue your passions, practice and taking classes while staying safe.
These times are hard financially, emotionally & physically. We want to show you support during this time in any way we can. In an effort to assist you, all classes at this time are strictly donation based. We want to be able to assist people during this time & continue to allow all people access to classes with out worrying about costs. This is the perfect time to explore our classes, & get what you need during this complicated time at a price you can afford! We are a judgement free zone!
As we are primarily an online studio, we always offer online classes to be able to best assist your needs and schedule. Experience the extra benefit of taking time to relax, release some stress or just have fun during class from the comfort of your home!
We are not able to offer In-person Group pole classes at this time. We are only able to offer private classes and online classes.
In-person [Outdoor] - We do not offer weekly in-person classes, however we do offer monthly in-person workshops. Our monthly in person work shops will follow the social distancing guidelines in order to keep you safe. Our beautiful studio space is located on a farm on the outskirts of Boulder, CO. Due to this we have a lovely private & secluded multi-acre outdoor field to utilize. This space allows us to keep 6 FT. distance at all times, get sunshine, connect to the Earth, and breathe fresh air
In-person [Indoors]: If weather does not permit us to utilize our secluded multi acre field for outdoor classes. We have a turned the upper loft of a house barn on the property into a cute and quaint indoor studio to use. We will limit indoor classes to only 5 students to allow proper social distancing procedures indoors
Online Taking an online class at home, social distancing is not a concern. It is not our goal to police you with in your own home. To follow Colorado state guidelines we do ask you to be mindful of the number of non-family or non-household living guests that you invite into your home during class and keep social distance in line with those non-related guests.
(If you take your class in a location where non-related residents are gathered please keep 6 ft. of distance during your practice.)
In-person (Outside): Please wear a mask when you arrive and if you are with in 6 ft of people. Once you set up and are either on your yoga mat or at your pole. You may remove your mask. Enjoy the fresh air with out restriction. We simply ask you put on a mask if you are with in a close distance with others (under 6 ft).
In-person (inside)- Per state mandates we will require masks be worn anytime inside. Whether taking an indoor class or if you choose to use the indoor bathroom.
In-person: We ask that you please arrive with cleaned hands. Your own cleaned props/ mats. (We supply poles & crash pads). Poles, stages, crash pads and bathrooms (+door handles and stair railing) are cleaned before and after every class with Government recommended cleaning products. Students may wipe down their props with provided alcohol at any point of time during class.
We do not allow shared props or equipment at this time. Pole dance classes are currently limited to online classes and private classes. As we do not allow shared poles in class. Each student must have their own pole. At this time we are only offering online and private pole classes. Students may not share blocks or mats. Due to this we ask that you please bring your own mats, blocks and other props.
For In-person work shops or private classes we will have you fill out a symptoms check list to help us understand your current health situation to be sure that it is safe for everyone to attend class.
Please arrive to class times 5 minutes early. This allows time for set up before class, and for teachers to give any pre-class announcements.
Respect is the most important part of our studios morals and ethics. We believe everyone deserves respect and a safe, judgement free zone to do their practice. Please respect the studio's space, your instructors and fellow class mates.
Consent goes hand in hand with respect. Instructors ask for consent before giving you a physical adjustment, unless an immediate emergency is needed. If you ever feel violated in class please reach out to kc.cares@yogadance.studio
In addition to physical consent you have the right to with draw your consent for any part of the practice at any time. If there is a part of class you would not like to participate in, we encourage you to listen to yourself & only do what you are comfortable with.
We do occasionally take photos/ videos during classes. We will not film or record you during these sessions, these sessions are only recording the instructor. (Unless you give us specific permission or request us to record you) If you decide to take a photo or video in the studio, please be mindful of other students who may be in the background. Always get consent before posting an image with another person in it. It is AGAINST OUR POLICIES for you to record online Classes for any reason.
In online classes we ask that you please turn on video, and turn off audio (mute yourself). This way instructors can see you to provide better cues, adjustments and modifications. Please place your camera in a way to help the instructor best see you. Having Mic Audio Off is less disruptive during class and also allows the screen to stay fixated on the host (instructor) of the zoom class, if students forget "pin the host" during class. Instructors will instruct you to turn on your mic as needed.
Please respect this space. This studio is our yoga home and also the owners real home. We ask that you please treat this space as sacred as your own home as well. We do have cats, dogs, chickens and roosters on the property, if any of these animals causes you discomfort, we ask that you consider this before signing up for classes. Please respect the animals on this property just as much (if not more haha) as the other people sharing this space with you.
We provide trigger warnings for all classes involving aspects of meditation. This is to best help and assist all students and help to make yoga a more inclusive space for all.
Our website is private and secure. E-mails are HIPAA compliant. Any information we take from you is only read by the instructor of your class to best assist your needs or the owner of the company. We never sell or give away any part of your information. Any cookies or website information taken is used solely for our websites analysis or to assist you to easily maneuver our website. We take privacy seriously andn
We do not offer refunds of any kind. If you have a serious need for a refund. Please contact us and the owner will discuss with you and make a decision based on the information you provide. However if you sign up for a class, you recognize we do not offer a refund, return etc. for classes. (missed or attended)
During classes it is recommended to bring/ you may need:

Classes may warm up the body & work up a sweat. We recommend wearing clothes that you will feel comfortable in & have full range of movement in. Typical form fitting workout clothes tend to help assist Asana posses. Some may prefer to have skin of the arms or legs show for better gripping & movement. Some may prefer looser fitting clothes. We ask, regardless of the clothing style you rock, to keep all private areas & genitals of the body covered during Online & In-person classes.
We recommend that you come to class prepared with water, and pole grip (if you are taking an "on the Pole Class."). Some people may find pole gloves/ pole stick clothes assist them during practice. Gripping onto the pole is the most important part of pole dancing. You will sweat & slip, to get better grip contact with the pole, skin to pole contact is recommended. Clothing that allows a lot of shown skin help assist pole dancing.
(EX: sports bras, tank tops, crop tops, shorts/booty shorts, etc)
We do allow students to wear booty shorts or thongs in class. We ask that you please keep genitals and private parts covered. If you do decide to wear a thong to class, we ask that you please wear 2 pairs of thongs at once, this helps to keep from accidental slipping/wardrobe malfunctions during class. Barefoot or your dancer heels are the recommended footwear. We do not allow street shoes in the studio during in person classes.

Our participation waiver is to enforce safety measures in our classes and to help you further understand the possible risk of injury in a class. This waiver also ensures you will follow our most important Studio Rules. You must sign the waiver to sign up for a public or Private Class.
